Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, the Department of Fashion Designing organized a “Rakhi with Thali Making Competition” on the occasion of Rakhi festival on 7th August 2025. A total of 35 students from various classes participated enthusiastically in the event. Participants showcased their creativity by making handmade rakhis using different materials.
Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of the college, served as the judge for the competition. Ms. Kirandeep Kaur (B.Sc. Fashion Designing, 3rd Semester) secured the First position, followed by Ms. Manraj Kaur (B.Sc. Non-Medical, 3rd semester) in Second place, and Ms. Jeevan Jyoti (M.Sc. Fashion Designing, 3rd Semester) in Third. Four consolation prizes were awarded to Ms. Nidhi (Diploma in Fashion Designing), Ms. Amandeep Suman and Ms. Anamika (M.Sc. Fashion Designing, 3rd Semester), and Ms. Muskan (B.Sc. Fashion Designing, 3rd Semester).
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated the Department of Fashion Designing for successfully organizing the event and appreciated the efforts of all participants.
