Drug De-Addiction Awareness Event
Kamla Nehru Junior College for Women, Phagwara, organized a thought-provoking Drug De-Addiction Awareness Event to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and encourage a healthy lifestyle. The event featured a seminar and a poster-making competition, both of which saw active and heartfelt participation from the students.
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, emphasized the importance of awareness and community effort in combating the rising issue of drug addiction among youth. Dr. Rinka (Overall In-Charge) and Ms. Khushi , led the event with dedication and vision.
During the seminar, students Manjoban, Manvi, Urvashi, and Naina delivered impactful presentations with great enthusiasm. Notably, Manjoban presented a powerful self-composed poem that deeply moved the audience and added an emotional dimension to the discussion.
The poster-making competition further reflected the students’ creativity and understanding of the issue, as they expressed powerful messages through visual art. Winners were awarded for their expressive and meaningful work.
The event successfully raised awareness while encouraging students to stand against drug abuse and become ambassadors of a drug-free society.
