Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, the Postgraduate Department of Commerce at Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, organized a successful industrial visit to Sukhjit Mega Food Park, Rehana Jattan, for BBA students on May 7, 2025.

The objective of the visit was to provide students with hands-on exposure to industrial operations and practical insights into the food processing industry, thus bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications. The visit was coordinated by faculty member Ms. Simranjeet Kaur Walia, and around 26 students participated.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the management team of the food park, including Mr. Ram Kumar Saini (General Manager), Mr. Vishal Joshi (Quality Head), Mr. Kuldeep Singh (Safety Officer), Mr. Pawan Kumar (Manager – HR), and Mr. Sukhdeep Singh (Executive – HR). These professionals conducted an insightful session covering quality control, employee safety measures, HR practices, and the overall functioning of a modern food processing unit. The interactive session allowed students to gain industry-relevant knowledge and engage in meaningful discussions.
Enhancing the value of the visit, Mr. Dhiraj Sardana, President of Sukhjit Starch Mill, conveyed his best wishes to the students and motivated them to excel in both academics and their future careers.

The visit was highly appreciated by all participants and proved to be a valuable learning experience. It offered students practical exposure that will significantly contribute to their academic and professional development. Principal Dr. Savinder Pal commended the efforts of Ms. Sanjna Walia, Head of Department, and the faculty members of the Commerce Department for organizing this impactful visit.
