Drug De-Addiction Program

The NSS Unit, Red Ribbon Club and Buddy Group of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, successfully organized a Drug De-Addiction Program under the able guidance of the college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal. The event, held on April 7, 2025, aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among students and the community.
The program featured a range of engaging activities designed to educate and inspire. These included a rally, a poster-making competition and together for drug free future that highlighted the harmful effects of drug addiction and the importance of making positive life choices. Students and Faculty members participated in a rally, chanting slogans against substance abuse. Students showcase their creativity through poster making highlighting the risks of substance abuse.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and local community representatives. The collective efforts of the NSS Unit, Red Ribbon Club, and Buddy Group showcased a strong commitment to creating a healthier, drug-free society.College Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated the efforts put in by the organizing team and encourage them to organize more such events in the future.
