Under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, organized a special program on March 24, 2025, to commemorate the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. The event, jointly hosted by the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Society and the Legal Literacy Cell, witnessed participation from faculty members and around 63 students, who gathered to pay homage to the nation’s valiant martyrs.

The tribute began with a tree plantation drive, symbolizing growth and resilience. Following this, a patriotic poetry by Kiran Sharma from BBA semester II, was held in the college’s seminar hall, where students expressed their admiration for the legendary revolutionaries. The History Department also screened a documentary on Bhagat Singh’s life, offering deep insights into his journey and ideology.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Savinder Pal remarked, “Bhagat Singh is not just a name but an ideology. His courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us towards patriotism and social service.” She also appreciated the efforts of faculty members Madam Dr Kamlesh and Madam Dr Rinka in organizing the event and encouraged more such initiatives in the future.

The program concluded with two-minute silence in honour of the martyrs. The event left a lasting impact on students, who found it to be a deeply inspiring and enlightening experience.
