Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, the Commerce Club of the PG Department of Commerce at Kamla Nehru College celebrated World Consumer Rights Day on March 15, 2025. The event commenced with a warm floral welcome extended to the guest speaker, Mr. Sandeep Walia, Managing Partner of Elevation Overseas, by Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, Head of the Department Ms. Sanjna Walia, and the faculty members of the Commerce Department.

Mr. Sandeep Walia delivered an engaging PowerPoint presentation, enlightening students about consumer rights and encouraging them to become aware and empowered consumers. The session was highly interactive and informative, with students actively participating in the discussion. Approximately 100 students attended the lecture, making it a remarkable learning experience.

As a token of appreciation, Mr. Sandeep Walia awarded a certificate for best participation to Miss Gudiya (B.Com 2nd Semester) for being the most active student during the session, further motivating students to become active advocates for consumer rights.

Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the Head of the Department, Ms. Sanjna Walia, in organizing the event. She also emphasized the importance of Consumer Protection Day, highlighting the need for students to stay informed about their rights as consumers to safeguard themselves from unfair trade practices.
