IQAC in collaboration with Professor Puran Singh science society of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated “National Science Day” by series of events like Placard Poster Presentation, Declamation, Collage Making, Best out of waste, Essence Your Food With Flora and “World’s Mathematics Day” in which Garima Khurana of Class B.Sc Non Medical Sem – 6 presented a power point presentation on “Mathematics around us”. The main motive of organizing National Science Day was to create awareness among students regarding “Global Science for Global Well Being” which is the theme of “National Science Day” this year in light of India’s G20 presidency and foremost incentive of “World’s Mathematics Day” was to aware students about the applications of Mathematics in daily life. 45 students participated in these events with great enthusiasm and zeal. Mental maths games were also organized by students which help them to enhance their cognitive skills. Dr. Savinder Pal, the college Principal awarded the prize winners of all events by medals, trophies, books and various other gifts. She also congratulated the students and faculty of Science Department and encouraged them to do such events in future also.
