IQAC of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organized Webinar on “Imparting Quality Education” on 12th August, 2021.

Under the stewardship of Madam Principal Dr. Savinder Pal, Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara organized a Webinar on the topic “Imparting Quality Education” on 12-08-2021. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal of M.M. Modi College, Patiala, who is also a NAAC Assessor, was the keynote speaker. Resource person was formally welcomed by Madam Principal and Prof. Harvinder Chauhan introduced the speaker and elaborated his achievements. In his address Dr. Khushvinder emphasized on understanding parameters which define the quality education and imparting quality education.

He focussed his speech on the fact that imparted education not only affects the learner but society at large. He emphasized that quality in higher education is a process to achieve excellence.  Dr. Khushvinder further elaborated that quality is dynamic entity and not static, so we should make efforts to sustain the quality in higher education. He then discussed the role of course outcomes and program outcomes to achieve the desired quality and mentioned that each course outcome should be mapped onto at least one program outcome. He also described assessment tools and said these tools are very important to access whether we are providing quality education or not.

                 Principal Dr. Savinder Pal thanked the speaker and assured him that the knowledge and suggestions given by him will certainly help us in maintaining quality in higher education. Ms. Sandeep Nandra gave the formal vote of thanks to the resource person and the participants. Approximately 50 participants from various colleges and teaching faculty attended the webinar. In the end, Madam Principal thanked and congratulated the IQAC co-ordinator Mr. Naval Kishore Dogra and co-coordinator Dr. Kanwaljit Singh and whole IQAC team for conducting such an insightful webinar.
