Kamla Nehru College for Women.Phagwara organised a Virtual Annual Alumni Meet-2021 on May 23, 2021. The program began with invocation by Mrs AmanLata, Head, Department of English. The Principal of the college, Dr Savinder Pal, welcomed the virtual gathering. The meet was attended by more than 75 college alumni settled in the country and different parts of world like London,Australia, Canada etc. The Alumni were so excited and reminiscent that they wished that they could soon get together physically in the College Campus.Almost all of them were of the view that they have reached their present stature due to their Alma Mater. Dr Savinder Pal, Principal of the college, expressed happiness on overwhelming response from the alumni. She congratulated the alumni of Kamla Nehru College for achieving the heights in their field of work and urged the alumni to contribute in enhancing Knowledge and skill domains of currents students by conducting guest lectures, webinars, seminars etc and she also thanked leadership of GNDU and College Management for providing all the necessary support and direction for the college to move forward. One of the oldest Alumni, Ms Sandeep Nandra who is working with College as Assistant Professor since 1995 got emotional while talking to other alumni and expressed her gratitude towards the college and how each one of them are connected with the college which is ultimately contributing in the development of a great nation. Alumni recalled their college memories and there were lot of nostalgic moments. Finally the event was concluded by Principal of the college by proposing vote of thanks to all people involved in the successful conduct of the event.
