  • With the collaborative efforts of the IQAC and the Department of Computer Science, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, a seven day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organized from 22.04.21 to 29.04.21on the theme Use of Computers in an Educational Setup. This programme was organized by the faculty members of the Department of Computer Science namely Ms. Anjali Walia, Ms. Swati and Ms. Jaskiranjit under the guidance of the college Principal Dr. Savinder Pal. The topics that were covered during this 7 day programme are: E-certificates, Google forms, Ms-Word-Typing and Fonts, Brochures , PPt. All the faculty members attended this FDP with enthusiasm. Dr. Savinder Pal discussed the need of learning computers to stay updated with the evolving world of information and technology, and also, to make their use effectively as per the requirements of an educational setup. She further congratulated the organising committee and faculty members for the successful completion of the programme.

    The Department of Hindi and Sanskrit, Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara organised an online inter-college and inter-school poster making competition on April 22, 2021 on the theme “Covid-19”. 20 different schools and colleges participated in this competition with zest. Head,Department of fine Arts Dr. Sudhamani gave her fair judgement on the occasion. The first prize was bagged by two students namely Gurasees kaur,student of Swami Sant Das public school,Phagwara and Priyanka Tiwari,student of Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara.The second prize was bagged by feech Obnamia,student of Sacred Heart college,Philippine and Mansi Sharma ,student of P.C.M.S.D college jalandhar. The third prize was bagged by Ashima chopra, S.D college jallandhar ,Mannat banga, Swami Sant Das Public school Phagwara , Harleen kaur ,Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara and Navdeep Kaur, S.D. College jalandhar. The consolation prizes were given  to Manisha, Kirandeep ,Harleen and Disha Aggarwal, and Jagriti Aggarwal,Sant Agnes convent school,Habra,West Bengal was awarded Appreciation prize.The college Principal Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated Dr. Asha Sharma and Madam Shashi Jaswal.She also congratulated students for the participation and wished for their bright future.
