7 Days Faculty Development Programme – Day 5
Under the esteemed guidance of *Principal Dr. Savinder Pal*, the *IQAC* of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, successfully organized the *fifth day* of the ongoing *7‑Day Faculty Development Programme.
Teaching members from various departments attended, ensuring a rich multidisciplinary exchange of ideas and making the sessions academically enriching and highly interactive.
The day featured two impactful sessions. The first was an *Adobe Photoshop Workshop* led by *Mrs. Anjali Walia*, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. She began with a concise PowerPoint presentation, followed by a live demonstration of Photoshop’s essential tools. Participants gained practical insights into how these tools can be applied not only in design projects but also in academic research, such as creating research posters, graphical abstracts, and visual data representations.
The second session focused on *Indian Property Rights (IPR)*, delivered by *Mrs. Sanjana Walia*, Assistant Professor and HOD of the Department of Commerce. She provided a comprehensive overview of Intellectual Property Rights, recent developments under the *National Education Policy (NEP)*, and strategies for safeguarding academic innovations. The session included an engaging discussions on patent filing, copyright, and design rights, equipping faculty with the knowledge to protect their scholarly work.
Both sessions were highly informative, interactive, and intellectually stimulating, significantly strengthening the research understanding and scholarly skills of the participants. The blend of technical proficiency in Photoshop and legal awareness in IPR left the faculty better prepared to integrate advanced tools and compliance practices into their teaching and research endeavors.
Principal Dr. Savinder Pal appreciated both the speakers and stated that this FDP will be highly beneficial for the teachers’ growth.
