On April 29, 2023, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara held its 47th Convocation Ceremony, awarding degrees to 322 graduates and postgraduates from the sessions 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21. Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, the Dean, Students Welfare, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar alongwith his wife Dr Harpreet Kaur presided over the ceremony. The College Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal alongwith Secretary, Management Committee Mr. Ramesh Jain and members Sh. S. N. Aggarwal, Sh. Baldev Raj Sharma and the whole college family extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest. Principal Ms. P. K. Dhillon and Ms Kirandeep Randhawa, Principal, Mohan Lal Uppal DAV College were also present on the occasion. After visiting the College Heritage Centre, the Chief Guest interacted with Staff and followed the procession towards the Venue of the event. After formal felicitations, lighting of the holy lamp and a prayer to Almighty, Madam Principal presented a comprehensive report of the college’s accomplishments in academics, co-curricular activities, meritorious positions at the university level, and other achievements. On this occasion 322 Post Graduate and Under Graduate students received their degrees from the Chief Guest. Senior Clerk Mr Ramesh Kumar, and helping staff members Ms Raj Rani and Mr Sukhveer were honoured for completion of 25 years of glorious services in the college. In his address, Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi congratulated the graduates on their academic achievements and shared his vast knowledge. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks from the Principal to the guests of honor, followed by a formal lunch.
