Science block consists of well organized, fully equipped and updated six laboratories in Physics, Optics, Electronics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Biotechnology that help students in riding the crest of the engrossing scientific phenomenon.

Strength

Apart from coverage regular course and curriculum, the department possesses the privilege to host various academic as well as extra co-curricular activities like

• Department owns a smart classroom with projecting device where lectures are conducted using PowerPoint Presentations
• As the department possesses well maintained and fully equipped research labs, various research projects are assigned to the students
• The department has initiated a project on “Preparation of Potash alum from waste Aluminium foil” where waste foil is treated using different chemicals and a chemical named Potash alum is produced which is used as a laboratory reagent
• Botanical garden of the department has been established according to the bentham and Hooker system of classification which contains flora of every plant group. It also possesses an aquatic pond where hydrophytes are preserved under natural conditions
• The department also owns Green house, Vermiculture unit and a Vermiwash unit
• Extension lectures/workshops by the subject experts across the country on current burning issues
• The department also runs add on course in Biotechnology where students can access the modern techniques and handling of various sophisticated instruments
• Educational/collection trips are arranged in every session to different Universities and Research Institutes
• Department also runs a Science Forum which covers all the departmental activities throughout the session
• Various important Science days viz., Van Mahotsav, Breast Feeding Week, cancer day, World Habitat Day, World Animal Day, Science, Day, Ozone day
